Lives of Married Desi American's - Maya & Andy

Hey Friends,

Again it's time to highlight a thought which has been running in my mind for long. It's to Symbolize the Plight of young & dynamic women who are married and settled in foreign Countries...

What Dynamism!! How Independent!! Intense at work & balanced are life’s of young guns who pass out of college and start working. Over a short span of time when it comes to wedding they have to choose between their career n future. Not pushed and not compelled but these young women often prove submissive to young gentlemen who are "Settled" abroad. Wise Choices...Women are always after security. No harm...it's they instinct bonded right from the day they peep out of the womb :) so yes.. of they get packed to live their fairytale.

But my thought is what life post wedding is? Where has their dynamism and majestic walk gone hidden? Are they still working? The majority say "No". They are turning Homemakers. It is not the fault of those women or the gentlemen who marry them. But it's because of their Surroundings & the bad economic conditions are they pushed to being what they are than having what they want. Of Course. Not to forget they are settled well, absolutely wonderful to live in a happily married life but friends we just need to understand a few factors that torment these young women from being what they are.

* After working so hard and standing amongst the elite rankers many women's talents are being hidden post wedding.

* It is too difficult to handle solitude. That too after working for a few years. it gets a lot of time and effort to get past being alone all the time through the day.

* Getting even a part time job is not easy as a dependant & that too when the economy's an all time low, these desi's tend to toil hard to get into a job or even to find one.

* And most importantly we all need to remember that these ladies are literates. It is too difficult to cope up with work all of a sudden as over a period of time solitude makes them forget all what they have done/experienced.

We can add in more but these factors are more than sufficient to mention the plight of these top guns.

well now that we have jolted enough on the factors...what's the solution??

I have thought of a few things which I would like to share with you all:

* Read as much as you can. Keep updated on your field as much as you can.

* Try to dig into your extra curricular activities like Dance, Singing etc; which might have been your hobby/passion in your past. It might be really helpful if you can complete short
term courses and that might help you in making money in the near future.

* Women & Business are inborn, Check various opportunities & try to start small business activities without much investment in your neighborhood. Ex: Marketing dress materials, Apparels & Accessories, Books etc; will kindle lot of Customers. This is to make your time useful & in case if it turns out your passion make it your daily Bread 'n'Butter.

* For Women who just need to spend their timeout during the day usefully, Start learning what you have not known so far. Some women might not know cooking or washing or Weak in Communication. These women can absolutely improve their skills better to have a quality time and also it can help them to be much better as an individual.

You can add more to it friends your always welcome.

Finally, This blog means no harm to any of the gentlemen and this is just to constantly improvise the way of the desis who's talent must not go without a notice or just get buried with time.

Let me conclude by adding these friends:

For I cannot think that GOD Almighty ever made them [women] so delicate, so glorious creatures; and furnished them with such charms, so agreeable and so delightful to mankind; with souls capable of the same accomplishments with men: and all, to be only Stewards of our Houses, Cooks, and Slaves.
                                                                - DANIEL DEFOE, The Education of Women

All women become like their mothers. That is their tragedy.
-OSCAR WILDE, The Importance of Being Earnest

A woman's whole life is a history of the affections.
